Pyramids of Giza
A full day exploring the iconic pyramids of Giza: the Great Pyramid, Khafre, Menkaure, and the Sphinx.

Grand Egyptian Museum
The long-awaited Grand Egyptian Museum is ours for the day! We’ll explore the stunning collection from across Egypt’s dynastic history.

February 20
Cairo Museum and Coptic Quarter
Begin at the original Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, then explore the churches and relics of Coptic Cairo. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Egyptian Civilization and conclude the day with time in the Khan el-Khalili bazaar.

Road to Alexandria
Morning departure for Alexandria to explore the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Antiquities Museum, National Museum, Serapeum (site of Pompey’s Pillar), and St. Mark’s Cathedral. Overnight in Alexandria.

February 22
Roman Alexandria
We visit the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, the Greco-Roman Museum, and the Roman amphitheater at Kom el-Dikka before returning to Cairo for an overnight stay.

Luxor & Karnak
Morning flight to Luxor. Spend the day exploring the vast religious complex of Karnak, followed by a sunset visit to Luxor Temple. Embarkation on the Dahabiya cruise.

February 24
Valley of the Kings
Cross the Nile to the Theban Necropolis. Visit the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. Begin sailing toward Edfu.

February 25
Edfu and Kom Ombo
Explore the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu. Continue sailing south and stop at the double temple of Kom Ombo, shared by Sobek and Haroeris. Arrive in Aswan.

Abu Simbel
Drive to Abu Simbel to see the spectacular rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return to Aswan for a final night aboard the Dahabiya.

Departure Farewell, Cairo!
Morning flight from Aswan to Cairo. Connect to international flights home, extend your stay. or fly with Darius to Jordan.
